A(nother) week of (just) running

I miss my cross training a lot. Anyway, here's the quick recap:

Wednesday 8/25/10 - 3 miles (two brains & change)
Thursday 8/26/10 - Track workout and hills
-800yd warm up
-4 x 200 (with 200 rest)
-400 recuperation
-5 hills (with downhill as rest)
-400 cool down
About 3 miles in total. The 200s really kick my butt.

Friday 8/27/10 - 2.5 miles. I did a route that I thought was 3 miles, but I mapped it afterward and it turned out to be 2.5 oh well. I didn't feel like running much anyhow.

I REALLY WISH THE POOL WOULD OPEN!!

  1. Hey P! I'm jealous. We haven't been running a lot lately -- mostly Kip's hours are a bit inconvenient, because he's been getting back home at like 9:30PM and we've been hooked to 6 feet under, so going to bed at 11:30 or even midnight made us not wanna get up at 5:30. Consequence: we haven't been running a lot, including today since he has to be at work at 8 on Saturdays and in this town is either you run at 5-8 or you forget about running. Oh well, we'll hopefully go running tomorrow that's Sunday. I won't be running next week either since I'm going to a conference in Guadalajara, yaay.

Changing topics, I see you don't train cycling a lot?

  2. No, I had been until I hurt my hands. Now, I'm kind of afraid. But, on Wednesday, I'm going to go to a run-bike-run workout organized by the local triathlon club (which I'm now a member of).

Six Feet Under is awesome!!!!!!! Totally worth missing a few runs. We're watching Carnivale. We like it a lot. It's very dark and spooky.

  3. Oh, now I understand. Do you use cycling gloves? I used to use them when I went cycling with Keith on the weekends(a long time ago) and I liked using them. They were good for your hands. I hope you enjoy your run-bike-run. I think it's more motivating to do things that have been organized by other people, yes.

We're back to running. We didn't go Friday or Saturday. We almost don't make it on Sunday because we went out to some friends house and they had wine. In here wine is very expensive so we never buy it. But my friends have wine! so I drank a lot, haha. We got up at noon the next day! I couldn't believe it. But then it rained so we decided to go for a run at 3PM. It was surprisingly much better than other times, although still hot. We ran for one mile. We ran for 2 miles today. It's just painful to watch Nate running on 6 feet under and think that me too, I want to go for a run!

I don't know Carnivale. I'll check it out!

    Have a nice week!
