Day 1
So, after a weekend of complete junk food indulgence (preceded by a week of slightly lower levels of JF consumption), I've reached a point where I know I need to tone it down. I'm almost 40 and I feel like crap. So, today I'm starting my new food-related life. Healthy choices and all. I need to get back in shape, eat well and (1) provide a good example for my son and (2) stay healthy so I live a long time for my son. The baby is a powerful motivator. I of course feel better about myself and about life when I feel physically fit. So, I'm reducing/eliminating processed foods, junkfood (both the sweet and salty kinds), high sugar foods, high sodium foods and high fat foods that I tend to eat in large quantities (peanut butter is the main target of this last group - healthy but not in such quantities as I eat it. I'm reducing the amount that I eat and increasing my exercise levels. O.K. Again, hopefully the blog will motivate me.
